Private car falls from ferry into river

A private car fell from a ferry into the Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj. However, the driver of the car was rescued alive with the help of the fire service and locals.

The accident occurred in the Nabiganj ferry ghat area of ​​the Shitalakshya river on Thursday afternoon (April 16).

According to locals, the ferry was traveling from Nabiganj Ghat in Bandar Upazila on the east bank of the Shitalakshya river to Hajiganj Ghat in Sadar Thana. When the ferry reached Hajiganj Ghat, a private car suddenly lost control and fell into the river.

Upon receiving the information, the Hajiganj Fire Service quickly reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. Later, the driver of the car was rescued safely. It is known that there were no other passengers in the car except him.

Nurul Alam, an official of the Hajiganj Fire Service Station, said that the submerged private car was later recovered and brought to the shore. No casualties were reported in the incident.
