The police have recovered the hanging body of Ishtiaq Ahmed Mahin, a second-year BBA student at Dhaka Independent University. His body was found hanging from a fan in a rented house on the third floor of a building in G-Block in Bashundhara Residential Area around 11:30 pm on Sunday.
The deceased's brother-in-law, Mirza Habibur Rahman, said that Ishtiaq was the son of Mahbub Alam Chowdhury, assistant headmaster of a primary school in Tangail Sadar Upazila. He was the younger of two siblings. He lived in a mess with a few students in Bashundhara Residential Area. He wanted to get admitted to a public university.
