The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) announced the final results of the 44th BCS exam on Monday, recommending 1,690 candidates for 1,710 vacant posts.

According to PSC’s Public Relations Officer SM Matiur Rahman, 20 technical and professional cadre posts remained unfilled due to a lack of qualified applicants. The list of recommended candidates is available on the PSC website and Teletalk Bangladesh portal.

While many candidates passed both written and oral exams, not all were selected for their desired cadres. Those not nominated will be considered later for non-cadre vacancies based on merit and government needs.

The 44th BCS notification was issued in November 2021, but results were delayed nearly four years due to political unrest and disruptions. Oral exams began in April 2024 but faced multiple postponements after student protests and government changes. Following appeals, the PSC canceled the previous oral exam and held a fresh one, leading to Monday’s final announcement.

The PSC had planned to release progress and results for the 43rd to 47th BCS exams by June 30, with the 44th BCS results published as scheduled.
