PSC suspends appointment of 21 doctors in 48th special BCS
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has suspended the final recommendation for the appointment of 21 candidates in the 48th Special BCS for doctors. Of these, 19 were selected as Assistant Surgeons and two as Assistant Dental Surgeons. In addition, the candidacy of two others has been canceled due to the lack of an MBBS degree.
The announcement was made in a notice signed by Masuma Afrin on Monday, Controller of Examinations (Cadre Branch) of the PSC.
Earlier, on 11 September, the PSC had published the results of the 48th Special BCS, recommending 3,120 candidates for appointment. The Ministry of Public Administration was preparing to issue their appointments and publish the gazette. However, the process was halted after the suspension of recommendations for the 21 candidates and the disqualification of two others.
The PSC has not yet disclosed the reasons for the suspension of these appointments.
