Qatar emir's air ambulance in Dhaka to take Khaleda to London
A special air ambulance from the emir of Qatar has arrived in Dhaka to take BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for advanced treatment abroad.
The ambulance landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7:40pm on Monday (January 6), said BNP Media Wing member Shairul Kabir Khan.
He said BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Dr Enamul Haque Chowdhury received the air ambulance at the airport.
Meanwhile, special security measures have been taken at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on the occasion of Khaleda Zia's London trip.
The 79-year-old former prime minister, who has been suffering from multiple health complications, including arthritis, diabetes, liver cirrhosis, and kidney ailments, requires specialised care unavailable in Bangladesh, according to her doctors.
