RAB deploys 281 patrol teams nationwide for Durga Puja security
Ahead of Durga Puja 2025, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has implemented a comprehensive nationwide security plan to ensure communal harmony and public safety during the festivities.
According to an official statement issued on Friday (September 26), RAB has intensified intelligence surveillance and patrol operations across the country.
This year, a total of 31,526 Puja mondops have been set up across Bangladesh. To prevent any untoward incidents, 281 RAB patrol teams have been deployed, including 94 in Dhaka alone.
The deployment will continue until October 3.
RAB battalions are working in coordination with local Puja committees, elected representatives, and other law enforcement agencies through control rooms established in each district. The RAB headquarters is closely monitoring the overall security situation in real-time.
The statement urges the public to immediately report any suspicious activity or attempts to incite communal unrest during the festival.
Citizens have also been encouraged to contact district control rooms or assigned officers for any security assistance during Durga Puja.
