Rain forecasted in 8 divisions, temperatures to fall

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rain across eight divisions of the country, accompanied by a slight decrease in daytime and nighttime temperatures.

Meteorologist Dr Md Omar Faruq issued this 24-hour weather forecast at 9:00am on Friday (August 29).

According to the forecast, rainfall is expected in many areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, while parts of Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet may see light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds, with heavy rain possible in isolated locations.

Day and night temperatures are also expected to fall slightly across the country. In Dhaka, winds are blowing from the south and southeast at 8–12 km/h.
