Rain in four divisions, fog may hit across country
The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain in four divisions today.
The weather forecast for 9.00am on Friday predicted light rain or drizzle in some areas of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, and Sylhet divisions, including Noakhali and Cumilla.
The rest of the country is expected to experience dry weather with partly cloudy skies.
Additionally, the fog forecast indicates that moderate to dense fog may form in some areas from midnight to tomorrow morning, and it may persist until noon in some places.
The Meteorological Department warned that this could temporarily disrupt air traffic, inland river transport, and road communication.
The wind will blow from the west and northwest at speeds of 8 to 12 kilometers per hour. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, with the relative humidity around 78%, said the forecast.
Rainfall was recorded in several places, including 1 millimeter in Cumilla by 6.00am. After 6.00am, light rain was reported in Maijdi and Noakhali.
Meteorologist Shahnaz Sultana said, "There are a possibility of light rain in the Sylhet and Mymensingh regions, and a slight chance of rain in the capital."
"Temperatures are likely to remain stable tomorrow, with a slight decrease expected on Sunday or Monday. However, it is unlikely to reach the level of a cold wave," Sultana added.
