The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms in three regions of the country by noon today (April 21). According to a warning issued for inland river ports, the affected areas include Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet. The forecast, valid from 5:00am to 1:00pm, indicates that winds may blow from the west or northwest at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour on Tuesday. Authorities have advised river ports in these regions to display signal number 1 as a precautionary measure. The weather office said the conditions may bring temporary gusty winds along with rain or thundershowers in the mentioned areas.

দুপুরের মধ্যে দেশের তিনটি বিভাগে বৃষ্টি, ঝোড়ো হাওয়া ও বজ্রপাতের পূর্বাভাস দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তর। মঙ্গলবার (২১ এপ্রিল)&nbsp;ভোর ৫টা থেকে দুপুর ১টা পর্যন্ত দেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ নদীবন্দরগুলোর জন্য জারি করা এক সতর্কবার্তায় এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। পূর্বাভাসে বলা হয়েছে, রংপুর, ময়মনসিংহ ও সিলেট অঞ্চলের ওপর দিয়ে পশ্চিম বা উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিক থেকে ঘণ্টায় ৪৫ থেকে ৬০ কিলোমিটার বেগে অস্থায়ীভাবে ঝোড়ো হাওয়া বয়ে যেতে পারে। সেই সঙ্গে এসব এলাকায় বৃষ্টি অথবা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। আবহাওয়া অফিস এসব এলাকার নদীবন্দরগুলোকে ১ নম্বর সতর্কতা সংকেত দেখিয়ে যেতে বলেছে।
