Rajshahi Board tops SSC results; Barishal records lowest pass rate
The results of the 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published today (Thursday), revealing Rajshahi Board as the highest achiever with a pass rate of 77.63%, while Barishal Board recorded the lowest at 56.38%.
The overall pass rate this year stands at 68.45%, marking a significant decline from last year’s 83.04%. The data was released following a detailed analysis of board-wise results.
Other boards performed as follows: Jashore at 73.69%, Chattogram at 72.07%, Sylhet at 68.57%, Dhaka at 67.51%, Dinajpur at 67.03%, Cumilla at 63.60%, and Mymensingh at 58.22%.
The SSC examinations commenced on April 10 and concluded on May 13, 2025. This year, a total of 1,928,970 candidates appeared, including both regular and irregular students. This figure is approximately 100,000 fewer than in 2024.
The Education Board implemented a new ‘real assessment’ policy for grading this year’s exams, which is reflected in the overall pass rates.
