Rajshahi Zila Parishad Administrator’s mourning on death of former IGP Dr M Enamul Haque

Administrator of Rajshahi Zila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Advocate Md Ershad Ali Esha has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the demise of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) and former member of Bangladesh Law Commission, the distinguished son of Godagari of Rajshahi Dr M Enamul Haque.

He breathed his last at the age of 88 while under treatment at a private hospital in the capital around 5am on Sunday (August 30).

In a message of condolence the Administrator of the Zila Parishad said the country has lost a talented, efficient, experienced and dedicated police officer at the death of Dr M Enamul Haque. His contribution of the career as IGP along with performing duties in various important posts of Bangladesh Police will remain memorable in the police administration of the country.

He further said as a distinguished son of Godagari of Rajshahi Dr M Enamul Haque has made important contribution in the service of the country and the nation by his own work qualities. The people of Rajshahi have lost a talented and distinguished son at his death. This void is not easy to fill.

Advocate Md Ershad Ali Esha prayed for the maghfirah of the departed soul of the late and expressed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family. He prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive the late and grant him the highest place of Jannatul Ferdous and to give the family the strength and patience to bear this grief.

It is to be noted that Dr M Enamul Haque is the younger brother of former Vice Chairman of BNP and former Posts and Telecommunications Minister Barrister Aminul Haque. His another brother is Major General (Retd) Sharif Uddin. The burial of Dr M Enamul Haque is scheduled to be completed at the family graveyard in Godagari of Rajshahi at 11am on Monday.
