Ramadan to begin in Bangladesh Thursday
The holiest month of the Islamic calendar, Ramadan, will begin in Bangladesh on Thursday, as the crescent moon was sighted in the country on Wednesday.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, observing a time of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and devotion. The month, which marks the ninth in the Islamic calendar, is dedicated to prayer, charity, and deepened religious commitment.
In observance of Ramadan, government, semi-government, and private offices in Bangladesh have adjusted their working hours to accommodate the fasting schedule.
