Remittance flow sees 19.3% growth in first 10 days of Sep
Bangladesh has experienced a significant 19.3% increase in expatriate remittance inflows in the first 10 days of September, according to data from Bangladesh Bank released on Thursday (September 11).
During this period, the total remittance flow reached $1.132 billion, up from $949 million in the same timeframe last year.
This growth reflects a continued upward trend in remittance contributions to the national economy.
For the fiscal year 2025-26, from July through September 10, expatriates sent a total of $6.32 billion in remittances, compared to $5.87 billion during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, marking an increase of approximately 7.7%.
