Remittance inflow $2,031 million in 19 days
Bangladesh received $2,031 million in remittances in the first 19 days of the current month of August. The country had received $1,573 million during the same period last year, marking a 29.10 percent rise in remittance this time.
According to Bangladesh Bank data, expatriates alone sent $64 million to the country on August 19.
Total remittance inflow to the country stood at $4,890 million from July 1 to August 19 of the current fiscal year, compared to $4,051 million during the same period of the last fiscal year, marking a 20.7 percent rise in remittance during this period.
