Bangladesh received US$1.542 billion in remittances during the first 14 days of July in the fiscal year (FY) 2026-27, marking a 21.8 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

According to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank today, expatriate Bangladeshis sent US$1.542 billion between July 1 and July 14, 2026, up from US$1.266 billion received during the corresponding period of July 2025.

On July 14 alone, inward remittances amounted to US$115 million.

The continued growth in remittance inflows is expected to strengthen the country's foreign exchange reserves and support external sector stability.
