Reshuffle in charge of seven DMP Assistant Police Commissioners

Charges of seven Assistant Police Commissioners (AC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been reshuffled to make administrative operations more efficient. Under the order, issued in the public interest, the officers concerned have been newly posted to various units and instructed to hand over their current charges and join their new postings within a set time.

The reshuffle was announced in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Thursday (August 6). The order states that the transferred officers will serve in their new postings until further notice. It also directed them to hand over their current charges and join their new postings by August 6.

Under the new postings, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mushfiqur Rahman Tushar of the Transport division has been given charge of Chawkbazar Zone under Lalbagh division, while Assistant Commissioner of Police Md. Mahfuzur Rahman of Chawkbazar Zone has been given charge of Bangabhaban Security-1 branch under the Protection division. Assistant Commissioner of Police Tania Sultana of Pallabi Zone under Traffic Mirpur division has been posted to the Women Support and Investigation division, while Nusrat Yeasmin Tisha of the Welfare and Force division has been posted to Pallabi Zone under Traffic Mirpur division.

Additionally, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sheikh Suraiya Urmi of the Procurement branch under the Logistics division has been given charge of POM-West division. Under the same order, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohammad Saiful Islam has been posted to the Patrol-Cantonment branch under Gulshan division, and Md. Sakilur Rahman has been posted to the Cyber and Special Crime-North division under the Detective Branch.

DMP sources said the postings were made as part of a routine reshuffle aimed at improving coordination, efficiency, and the effectiveness of various units' operations. The office order noted that the newly assigned officers are instructed to join their new postings and take charge promptly.
