A fire had broken out at the Pran-RFL Group's factory in Palash of Narsingdi. The fireoriginated around 5pm on Friday, said firefighters. Palash Fire Service unit said that two units from the station and two from the Madhabdi Fire Station, totalling four units, are working to douse the flame. Additionally, the company's firefighting team is also working. Palash Station Officer Sadekul Bari said: "There is no chance of the fire spreading further. We are working on it. We hope to have it under control shortly, but we can not yet say how soon it will be. It is also impossible to say how the fire started at this point."

নরসিংদীর পলাশ উপজেলার প্রাণ-আরএফএল গ্রুপের কারখানায় আগুন লেগেছে। আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের চারটি ইউনিট। শুক্রবার (৩০ আগস্ট) বিকেল ৫টার দিকে এ আগুন লাগে বলে জানিয়েছেন স্থানীয়রা। পলাশ ফায়ার সার্ভিস জানায়, পলাশ ফায়ার স্টেশনের দুটি ইউনিট এবং মাধবদী ফায়ার স্টেশনের দুটিসহ মোট চারটি ইউনিট আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে। এছাড়া আগুন নেভাতে ওই কোম্পানির নিজস্ব দমকল বাহিনী কাজ করছে। পলাশ ফায়ার স্টেশনের স্টেশন অফিসার সাদেকুল বারি বলেন, “আগুন বাইরে ছড়ানোর কোনো সম্ভাবনা নেই। আশা করছি, অল্প কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যে নিয়ন্ত্রণে চলে আসবে। তবে কতক্ষণের মধ্যে নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসবে সে বিষয়ে এখনও বলা যাচ্ছে না।”
