Rizvi alleges conspiracy to undermine upcoming election

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that a conspiracy is underway to make the upcoming national election controversial by disrupting the environment for a free and fair vote.

Speaking on Tuesday at Banani Graveyard after paying tribute on the 56th birth anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko, Rizvi claimed that certain quarters are deliberately attacking nationalist forces in an effort to destabilize the electoral process.

“The entire nation is waiting for a free and fair election,” he said, adding that “many are engaged in conspiracies, resorting to political trickery to manipulate the outcome.”

Commenting on recent political tensions, Rizvi warned, “Some are making provocative statements in an attempt to establish fascism. The people will ultimately judge who is aiding such forces and trying to create chaos in the country.”

He also urged the government to take stern action against corruption, extortion, and illegal land grabbing. “Those involved in extortion and land grabbing must be brought under the law,” he emphasized.
