Three people were killed in a collision between a bus and a private car in Boliarpur area at Savar. Two more passengers were injured in the accident that took place around 2:45 pm on Monday (December 2) in Boliarpur area on Dhaka-Aricha highway. The deceased are Haji Nazimuddin, Haji Mujibur Rahman and Ibrahim from Boliarpur area of Savar. The injured are Md Shahbuddin and Abdul Jalil from the same area. Savar Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saugatul Alam said, "Although the bus involved in the accident has been seized, its driver and helper have fled. We are working to bring the driver and helper to justice." He said, "We did not find any bodies at the scene. However, we are going to the place where the bodies have been taken. We can confirm the death toll after reaching there."

সাভারের বলিয়ারপুর এলাকায় বাস ও প্রাইভেটকারের সংঘর্ষে তিনজন নিহত হয়েছেন। আহত হয়েছেন আরও দুই যাত্রী। সোমবার (২ ডিসম্বের) বিকেল পৌনে ৩টার দিকে ঢাকা-আরিচা মহাসড়কের বলিয়ারপুর এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহতরা হলেন- সাভারের বলিয়ারপুর এলাকার হাজি নাজিমুদ্দিন, হাজি মজিবুর রহমান ও ইব্রাহিম। আর আহতরা একই এলাকার মো. শাহবুদ্দিন ও আব্দুল জলিল। সাভার হাইওয়ে থানার পরিদর্শক (ওসি) সওগাতুল আলম বলেন, দুর্ঘটনাকবলিত বাসটিকে জব্দ করা হলেও এর চালক ও হেলপার পালিয়েছে। আমরা চালক ও হেলপারকে আইনের আওতায় আনার জন্য কাজ করছি। তিনি বলেন, আমরা ঘটনাস্থলে কোন মরদেহ পাইনি। তবে মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে যেখানে নেওয়া হয়েছে সেখানে আমরা যাচ্ছি। ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে নিহতের ব্যাপারে নিশ্চিত করা যাবে।
