An incident of throwing rotten eggs occurred at a street rally of Nasiruddin Patwari, the 10-party alliance candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency. The incident took place on Thursday night. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media. The footage shows several rotten eggs being thrown from above while the rally was underway. During the incident, party leaders and activists chanted slogans such as “Where there is resistance, there will be struggle.” However, Nasiruddin Patwari urged supporters to remain calm and avoid escalating the situation, calling for patience and restraint. Although tension prevailed in the area for a short time following the incident, no major untoward situation was reported.

ঢাকা-৮ আসনে ১০ দলীয় জোটের প্রার্থী নাসীরুদ্দীন পাটওয়ারীর পথসভায় পচা ডিম নিক্ষেপের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। ঘটনার একটি ভিডিও সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। ভিডিওতে দেখা যায়, পথসভা চলাকালে ওপর দিক থেকে একাধিক পচা ডিম নিক্ষেপ করা হয়। ডিম নিক্ষেপের সময় উপস্থিত নেতাকর্মীরা ‘বাধা আসবে যেখানে, লড়াই হবে সেখানে’ স্লোগান দিতে থাকেন। তবে পরিস্থিতি উত্তপ্ত না করে শান্ত থাকার আহ্বান জানান নাসীরুদ্দীন পাটওয়ারী। তিনি নেতাকর্মীদের ধৈর্য ধারণ করতে বলেন। ঘটনার পর এলাকায় কিছু সময় উত্তেজনা বিরাজ করলেও বড় ধরনের কোনো অপ্রীতিকর পরিস্থিতির খবর পাওয়া যায়নি।
