Students of Rajshahi University suspended their roadblock on the Dhaka–Rajshahi highway following assurances from the administration. The suspension of the blockage has been confirmed at 2:00pm on Thursday (November 20). The protest had been ongoing since 11.00am demanding accountability for police actions and the erasure of CCTV footage at Kazla Canteen. Second-year student Hridoy Biswas said the administration promised swift action on their demands, prompting a nine-hour suspension of the protest. Proctor Professor Mahbubur Rahman added that the canteen will remain closed until the culprits are identified and legal action is taken. The demonstration followed a Wednesday night attack in which two students from the Finance Department were injured.

প্রশাসনের আশ্বাসের পর ৯ ঘণ্টার আলটিমেটাম দিয়ে অবরোধ কর্মসূচি স্থগিত করেছেন রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (রাবি) শিক্ষার্থীরা। বৃহস্পতিবার (২০ নভেম্বর) বেলা ২টার দিকে তাঁরা ঢাকা–রাজশাহী মহাসড়কে চলমান অবরোধ সাময়িকভাবে উঠিয়ে নেন। আন্দোলনরত দ্বিতীয় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী হৃদয় বিশ্বাস জানান, প্রশাসন তাঁদের দাবি দ্রুত বাস্তবায়নের আশ্বাস দিয়েছে। তিনি বলেন, ‘তাদের ওপর ভরসা করে আমরা আগামী ৯ ঘণ্টার জন্য কর্মসূচি স্থগিত করেছি।’ রাবির প্রক্টর অধ্যাপক মাহবুবর রহমান বলেন, শিক্ষার্থীদের দাবির বিষয়ে পুলিশের সঙ্গে আলোচনা হয়েছে। পুলিশ তদন্ত করে দ্রুত জড়িতদের বিচারের আওতায় আনার কথা জানিয়েছে। তিনি আরও জানান, যেহেতু ঘটনাস্থল কাজলা ক্যানটিনের সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ মুছে ফেলা হয়েছে, তাই দোষীরা গ্রেপ্তার না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ক্যানটিনটি বন্ধ থাকবে। বুধবার রাতে দুর্বৃত্তদের হামলায় রাবির ফাইনান্স বিভাগের দুই শিক্ষার্থী আহত হলে আজ সকাল ১১টা থেকে শিক্ষার্থীরা কাজলা গেট এলাকায় মহাসড়ক অবরোধ করেন। শিক্ষার্থীদের দাবির মধ্যে ছিল—কাজলা পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির সদস্যদের জবাবদিহি নিশ্চিত করা এবং সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ মুছে ফেলার ঘটনায় কাজলা ক্যানটিন বন্ধ রাখা।
