RUCSU election postponed to October 16

The Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RUCSU) election has been rescheduled to October 16, following the Durga Puja festivities.

Chief Election Commissioner F. Nazrul Islam announced the decision in a statement on Monday evening (September 22) after an emergency meeting of the election commission.

Earlier, student groups, including Chhatra Dal, had demanded a postponement, citing the current circumstances as unsuitable for holding the election on the originally scheduled date of September 25.
