RUCSU election set for September 15, schedule announced

The Rajshahi University Central Students Union (RUCSU) election is scheduled for September 15.

The election schedule was announced on Monday (July 28) at 3:30 PM by RUCSU Election Commissioner Professor Enamul Haque at the university’s Senate Building.

According to the schedule, the election code of conduct will be published on July 31, followed by the release of the draft voter list on August 6. Objections to the voter list will be accepted and resolved on August 7, 10, 11, and 12. The final voter list will be published on August 14.

Nomination forms will be distributed from August 17 to 19, and submission of nomination papers will take place on August 21, 24, and 25. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on August 27 and 28. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on August 31. September 2 has been set for withdrawal of nomination papers, and the final list of candidates will be released on September 4. Voting will take place on September 15.

RUCSU Treasurer Professor Dr. Setaur Rahman, Election Commissioner and Syndicate Member Professor Dr. Nizam Uddin, other election commissioners, the Public Relations Administrator, the Proctor, and several hall provosts were present during the announcement.
