Rumors of 48th Special BCS exam postponement is baseless: PSC
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has strongly denied rumors circulating on social media about the postponement of the 48th special BCS examination, calling the information "baseless and fabricated."
In an official press release issued on Thursday (July 10), the PSC clarified that a fake notice—falsely bearing the signature of the Examination Controller (Cadre)—has been widely shared online. "No such notification has been issued by the commission. It is completely false and intended to mislead," the statement read.
The commission emphasized that legal action will be taken against individuals responsible for spreading the forged document and misinformation.
Confirming the exam schedule, the PSC stated that the written (MCQ) test for the 48th special BCS will be held as planned on July 18, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Through this special BCS, the government aims to recruit 3,000 doctors, including 2,700 assistant surgeons and 300 assistant dental surgeons, to strengthen the country's healthcare sector.
