Saad granted bail over killing his mother in Bogura

A lower court in Bogura has granted bail to Saad bin Azizur Rahman (19), who had been jailed for allegedly killing his mother in the district's Dupchanchia.

Judge Shajahan Kabir issued the bail order after reviewing the bail application filed at the Bogura District and Sessions Judge's Court on Wednesday (November 27).

Earlier, on November 10, Saad was arrested by the RAB of Bogura on charges of murdering his own mother.

The body of Umme Salma Khatun (50) was found in the deep freezer at her home. Following an investigation by Dupchanchia Police, it was revealed that Salma's tenant, Mabiya Sultana, and her associates were responsible for the murder.

Utpal Kumar Bagchi, Saad's lawyer, confirmed the matter.

"Police are still investigating the case, and it will be determined whether Saad remains an accused once the final charge sheet is filed," said Bagchi.

"Mabiya and her associates have confessed their crime in front of the court, but the full details will emerge once the charge sheet is finalized," he added.
