Salahuddin demands clarification on advisers involvement in Gulshan incident

BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has urged authorities to clarify whether any advisers from the interim government are involved in the recent Gulshan incident. Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Salahuddin stressed that the matter should be made transparent to the public.

“It is crucial to confirm if any advisors had a role in the Gulshan incident. The facts must be presented openly to the people,” he said. “If the investigation is not conducted properly, more questions will arise about the advisors. A thorough inquiry is necessary.”

Salahuddin also called on political parties to avoid confusing statements ahead of the upcoming national elections. He warned, “Those who attempt to sabotage or boycott the elections will be sidelined in national politics.”

The demand for investigation comes amid the circulation of a confessional video involving Jane Alam Apu, former joint convener of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad. The video, shared widely on social media, relates to an extortion case linked to the residence of former Awami League MP Shammi Akhter in Gulshan. In the recording, Apu mentions a late-night meeting with an advisor outside a hotel in Gulshan.
