Sarjis calls for unity on BNP’s 47th anniversary

Sarjis Alam, Chief Organizer (Northern Region) of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has extended his greetings on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday, Sarjis Alam conveyed his best wishes to party members and supporters.

“Greetings to everyone on the 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP),” he said.

He further emphasized the importance of unity and democratic progress in the country’s political landscape, stating, “In post-coup Bangladesh, by prioritizing the interests of the nation and its people, and confronting all conspiracies along the path to democratic transition, we will move forward unitedly. This is our expectation.”

The BNP was officially founded on September 1, 1978. The party’s journey began when its founder and then-President Ziaur Rahman formally announced its establishment during a press conference held at Ramna Restaurant at 5 pm.
