Saudi Deputy Minister holds joint meeting with Foreign Minister, Home Minister

Saudi Arabia's Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed El Khereiji held a joint meeting with Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam and the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir were also present .

The meeting was held at the state guest house Padma on Tuesday, August 4. Although the meeting ended at noon, neither side provided details about the discussions.

However, a meeting source said the talks covered the issuance of passports for Rohingyas in Saudi Arabia, manpower export, energy cooperation, and the expansion of trade and investment.

Meanwhile, Saudi Deputy Minister Waleed El Khereiji will meet Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at noon Tuesday.

In the afternoon, he will meet Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury. He will leave Dhaka tonight after concluding his visit.

It may be mentioned that Saudi Arabia's Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed El Khereiji arrived in Dhaka on Monday night on a two-day visit. He was received at the airport by the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir.
