The Supreme Court (SC) has banned outsiders from entering its compound, the International Crimes Tribunal area, Attorney General’s office, Bar Association building, and adjacent National Eidgah field ahead of the verdict in the July-August human rights crimes cases.

The restriction, announced on Sunday by Deputy Registrar Dr. M. Atikus Samad, aims to ensure security for the courts, judges, and sensitive case documents.

The tribunal will deliver the verdict on November 13 in cases related to atrocities during the July-August uprising, involving Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal among others.

The move comes after increased public presence near the Supreme Court’s main gate and adjacent areas, posing potential security risks.
