Schedule published for the 46th BCS written exam
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the revised schedule for the written exams (compulsory and post-related subjects) of the 46th BCS.
This information was announced in a press release signed by PSC Exam Controller (Cadre) Masuma Afrin on Sunday (May 25).
According to the published schedule, exams on compulsory subjects will be held from July 24 to August 3, and exams on post-related subjects will take place from August 10 to August 21.
PSC has informed that the exams will be held at centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh.
Earlier, the written exams for the 46th BCS were scheduled to be held from May 8 to May 19. However, they were postponed in response to demands from examinees.
The preliminary result of the 46th BCS was published on May 9, where 10,638 candidates passed.
The circular for the 46th BCS was published on November 30, 2023. A total of 3,140 candidates will be recruited through this BCS.
The highest number of recruits will be in the health cadre: 1,682 Assistant Surgeons and 16 Assistant Dental Surgeons. In the education cadre, 520 people will be recruited for teaching positions. Other recruitments include 274 in the administration cadre, 10 in the foreign service, 80 in the police, 14 in the Ansar, 26 in the fisheries department, and 65 in the public works department.
Against the 3,140 available posts, around 338,000 applications were submitted.
