Schools, colleges reopen today
After the 16-day long holiday of Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation, teaching activities are resuming in the country's government and private primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and educational institutions under the Technical Education Board from Sunday (June 7). According to the 2026 academic calendar, the holidays began in these educational institutions from May 24.
However, the holidays will continue for a few more days in the madrasas of Alia, Dakhil, Alim, Fazil and Kamil levels. According to the madrasa academic calendar, the holidays of these institutions will remain in force until June 11. After that, the weekly holidays on June 12 and 13, class activities will resume in the madrasas from June 14.
Meanwhile, holidays were also given in various public universities of the country on the occasion of Eid and summer vacation. However, classes are going to start in full swing in most public universities from Monday (June 8). The university administration has already completed all preparations for the return of students to the campus.
Education officials are hopeful that educational institutions will be bustling again with students returning after the long vacation. However, due to the ongoing heat wave and hot weather, students have been advised to take necessary precautions and measures to protect their health.
