Schools, colleges set for extended Eid-summer holidays

In view of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation, long holidays have been announced for schools, colleges and other educational institutions in the country. As a result, various educational institutions in the country will remain closed for the coming days.

This vacation will start after the end of classes on Thursday (May 21). Primary, secondary schools and colleges will be closed for 16 days during the vacation, and madrasas will be closed for 23 days.

According to the annual holiday list and academic calendar, Eid and summer vacations are scheduled to start from May 24. But before that, there will be two-day weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, so the last class before the closure will be on May 21. Then, there will be weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday on May 22 and 23.

According to the academic calendar, holidays in government and private primary schools, secondary schools, technical educational institutions and colleges will start on May 22.

This vacation will continue until June 4. Then, after the weekly holidays on June 5 and 6, classes will resume in these educational institutions on Sunday, June 7. In this, students of primary, secondary, college and technical institutions are getting 16 consecutive days of leave, including weekly holidays.

Madrasa students are getting more days of leave. The holidays in Ebtedayi, Dakhil, Alim, Fazil and Kamil madrasas will start on May 22 and continue till June 11. Later, classes will start on Sunday, June 14 after the weekly holidays on June 12 and 13 (Friday and Saturday). As a result, madrasa students are getting 23 days of leave.

Meanwhile, after the opening of educational institutions in June, there is a government holiday in July. According to the academic calendar, there will be a one-day holiday on July 29 on the occasion of Ashari Purnima.

In addition, educational institutions will be closed on August 5 on the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day', August 12 on the occasion of Akheri Chahar Shomba and August 26 on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH). Holidays have been scheduled for September on the occasion of Shuvo Janmashtami and Fateha-e-Yazdaham.
