Severed hands recovered in Kamrangirchar
Police have recovered two severed human hands from a plastic bag in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka. The hands have been sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital morgue for DNA testing to identify their owner.
The hands were sent to the DMCH morgue on Sunday, August 9, to collect DNA profile samples for identification.
Kamrangirchar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Broja Kishore Pal said police went to the scene on Saturday evening after receiving information through the national emergency service 999. The severed hands were later recovered from a plastic bag.
Police said an investigation is underway to identify the hands and determine how they came to be there. Further information will be available after the DNA test results are received.
