Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal has staged a protest by blocking the Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka. On Tuesday (15 July) at around 6:15 PM, activists of the organization occupied the key junction, completely halting traffic in the area and causing a ripple effect on other roads across the capital.

According to the Swechchhasebak Dal, the demonstration was organized to protest the deteriorating law and order situation across the country and to condemn what they described as the government's and administration's “indifference.” They also protested against what they claim are conspiratorial attempts to destabilize the country.

Earlier in the day, at around 4:00 PM, the Swechchhasebak Dal held a brief rally in front of the BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan. Around 5:00 PM, several thousand leaders and activists began a protest march toward Shahbagh, which culminated in the blockade.

The procession was led by BNP Joint Secretary General Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel, Swechchhasebak Dal President S.M. Jilani, and General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, along with other senior leaders of the party.
