Shakil Akhtar Khan to represent nation at 'Connect Live Tokyo 2025' summit

Shakil Akhtar Khan, a prominent IT expert from Dhaka, has been selected to participate in the ‘Connect Live Tokyo-2025’ conference, set to take place from July 23 to 25 in Tokyo, Japan.

The conference will bring together leading contributors to Google Maps from around the world, with Shakil set to showcase Bangladesh's contributions to the platform.

Serving as the Functional Head of IT at Fiber@Home, the country's largest NTTN company, Shakil has played a pivotal role in improving the quality and accuracy of Google Maps. His work as a Google Local Guide, especially in the remote regions of Bangladesh, has helped provide up-to-date and detailed mapping for local users and international tourists.

At the Tokyo conference, Shakil will highlight Bangladesh's achievements in digital mapping, emphasizing the country's growing role in global tech advancements. The event will offer a platform for experts to exchange insights and innovations in the field of digital mapping.
