Sheikh Hasina's sentence is not enough, but a milestone for the future: Salahuddin
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the verdict against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a milestone, stating that however the sentence is not enough considering the crimes.
He said this in immediate reaction after the verdict was announced on Monday.
Salahuddin said that justice has been established in the International Crimes Tribunal, this verdict is a milestone. Although this sentence is not enough considering the crimes, this verdict will be an example so that no government or any individual can become fascist in the future.
He also said that this verdict has proven that no matter how strong fascism is, no matter how much power it holds, they will have to stand in the dock of the court one day or the other.
