Shibchar OC withdrawn 22 days after taking charge

Azhar Ali, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibchar Police Station in Madaripur, has been withdrawn and attached to the police lines just 22 days after joining his post. He was withdrawn through an urgent letter issued on Friday night.

According to the district police, Azhar Ali joined Shibchar Police Station as OC on July 9. He was withdrawn on August 1 on charges of violating discipline. However, the specific incident behind his withdrawal was not disclosed.

In this regard, Madaripur Superintendent of Police Mohammad Naimul Hasan said, “The OC of Shibchar Police Station has been withdrawn for administrative reasons. He has been attached to the police lines in the public interest. A new OC will soon join the Shibchar Police Station to ensure that the public can receive the services they expect without delay.”
