Shilpi Akter Riya named best female singer at Bangladesh Achievers Award 2025

Shilpi Akter Riya has been named Best Female Singer at the Bangladesh Achievers Award 2025. She received the award in recognition of her contribution to music at the fourth edition of the event held last Saturday at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka. The honour was presented by BNP vice chairman Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon and actor Azizul Hakim.

The Gazipur-based singer said the recognition has increased her confidence and responsibility. Her family is the main inspiration behind her music career. She became known to listeners through the songs ‘Preme Onyek Jhal’, ‘Kangalini’ and ‘Amar Diler Majhe’. Riya has performed in several countries abroad.

Born in Bogura and raised in Gazipur, Shilpi Akter Riya currently lives in Gulshan. She intends to pursue her future entirely in music.
