Country's only coral-rich island, St. Martin, is opening to tourists from November 1. However, ship owners have decided to close cruises due to passenger crisis.

After a long closure, the government has allowed tourists to visit the island from November to January under certain conditions. However, as overnight stays are not allowed there, the interest of travelers has decreased.

As a result, ship owners have faced passenger crisis and despite preparations, they have finally decided not to operate ships in November.

In this regard, Hossain Islam Bahadur, General Secretary of the Sea Cruise Operator Owners Association of Bangladesh, told the media: "The decision to go and return from the island in one day is actually a joke with the tourists and those involved in the tourism industry."

Ship owners say that it is time-consuming and tiring to travel such a long distance and return on the same day.
