Shooting during poll campaign: BNP calls protest in Chattogram

Chattogram city BNP has announced a protest following the fatal shooting at the campaign of BNP candidate Ershad Ullah in Chattogram-8 constituency.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening in the Khondkarabad Fateypukur area under Bayezid Bostami police station, where Sarwar Hossain Babul was shot dead at close range during Ershad Ullah’s campaign.

The candidate and five others were also injured in this incident.

In response, city BNP called for a protest at 3.00pm on Thursday (November 6). No case has been filed or arrests made yet, though party leaders said preparations for a case are underway.
