Side-line meetings of PM Tarique Rahman with PM of Bhutan, Vice President of Maldives

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman who is staying in New York to join the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly has held separate side-line meetings with Prime Minister of Bhutan Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Vice President of Maldives Uz. Hussain Mohamed Latheef.

These two meetings were held at the United Nations headquarters on Tuesday.

Discussions were held at the meetings on further strengthening the existing friendly and cordial relations of Bangladesh with Bhutan and of Bangladesh with the Maldives. Alongside they also exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest and various aspects of regional and international cooperation.

At this time discussions were also held on the possibilities of further expanding the existing fields of cooperation for the mutual interest of the two countries and the welfare of the people.
