Signal number 3 in sea, rain may continue all daylong

Due to the influence of monsoon, it is raining almost all over the country. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), deep convective clouds are forming in Northern Bay of Bengal under the influence of active monsoon. It may rain all day today (Saturday).

The BMD weather forecast for Saturday (August 3) said there is a risk of gale force winds over coastal areas and seaports. Due to which Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number 3.

Besides, fishing boats and trawlers operating in Northern Bay of Bengal have been asked to move cautiously close to the coast till further instructions.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower with gusty winds may occur in many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions till 6 pm today. Also, moderate to heavy rains may occur in some parts of the country. However, day temperatures across the country may increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius and night temperatures may increase slightly.
