Signboard installed at AL office in Chattogram

A party signboard has been installed at the North District Awami League office in Dost Building adjacent to New Market intersection in Chattogram city. Former North District Chhatra League Joint Secretary Shawkat Ul Anam and former central Chhatra League leader Kazi Suruj installed the signboard on Monday afternoon. Several activists were present with them at the office.

Shawkat Ul Anam told the media, "We have removed the signboard that was installed as the office of National Citizen Party (NCP) Chattogram metropolitan and put up our party's signboard. We removed the lock on the door and entered inside. The previous chairs, tables, microphones, almirahs, files and other items were not found in the office. Even photos of late national and district leaders are missing. We have put our own lock on the office."

On October 21 last year, the North District Awami League office on the fourth floor of that building was vandalised. At that time, a group of youths vandalised the portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman outside the office. National Citizen Party (NCP) Chattogram metropolitan joint coordinator Arif Moinuddin was also seen in the video.
