Singer Moni Kishore found dead in Rampura house
The police have recovered the deformable body of noted singer Moni Kishore from his Rampur house in the capital.
Rampura police station SI Khan Abdur Rahman confirmed the recovery.
He said that the singer had died four to five dats ago. However, the reason behind his death could not be known immediately.
"The doors of Moni Kishore's flat was locked from inside. Neighbours did not receive any response from that house for several days. At one point, the people of the neighboring flat called the emergency service 999 after sensing something unusual. His body was recovered later by the police," he added.
Moni Kishore has sung more than five hundred songs. He was an enlisted artist on both television and radio. He didn't sing much in the movie. Among his popular songs are 'Ki chhile amar', 'Sey chhok duti kothai tomar', 'Tumi shudhu amarai jonno', 'Mukhe bolo bhalobasi', 'Ami more gele jani tumi' etc. His most popular song 'Ki chhile amar' was both composed and written by him.
About 20 songs have been written and composed by Moni Kishore. His real name was Moni Mandal. As he was a fan of Kishore Kumar, he added 'Kishore' to his name to show tribute to the legendary singer.
