Six more children die with measles symptoms
Six more children have died with measles symptoms in the country over the past 24 hours. During the same period, 691 people were infected with measles or its symptoms. The Directorate General of Health Services provided this information in its regular measles report on Saturday (July 25).
The Directorate General of Health Services said no child died from confirmed measles infection in the last 24 hours. However, six children died with measles symptoms. With this, the number of children who have died with measles symptoms since March 15 has risen to 721. During the same period, 95 children have died from confirmed measles. In total, 816 children have died from measles and its symptoms during this period.
According to the report, 78 new children were infected with confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, while another 613 were infected with measles symptoms. During this time, 581 children were admitted to hospitals, while 479 were discharged after completing treatment.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the total number of suspected measles cases from March 15 to date is 122,763, while the number of confirmed measles cases is 15,272. During this period, 105,298 patients have been hospitalised, of whom 101,535 have recovered and returned home.
