Social business hold powers to transform world: CA

Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has said that social business holds the potential to transform not only Bangladesh but the entire world, particularly in addressing critical issues like universal healthcare.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the two-day Social Business Day 2025, held at the Jirabo Social Convention Center in Savar on Friday (June 27), Dr Yunus emphasised that social business is the most effective and sustainable model for delivering healthcare to all.

"This is the only right approach to ensure healthcare for everyone," he said. "Social business offers a practical and impactful way to meet global healthcare challenges without prioritizing profit over people."

This year’s event is being observed under the theme: "Social Business is the Best Way to Ensure Healthcare for All."

More than 1,400 delegates from 38 countries are participating in the international conference, including policymakers, academics, business leaders, and social entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by members of the Advisory Council, senior government officials, foreign diplomats based in Dhaka, and international guests.
