Following the authorities' instructions, some students of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) left the halls on Wednesday morning. However, many students have rejected the directive and chosen to stay in the halls. They have declared that they will remain in the halls until their six demands, including the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor, are met. The students have also issued an ultimatum for the Vice-Chancellor to vacate his residence by 10:00 am on Wednesday. Police have been deployed at two campus gates. In accordance with the Syndicate meeting's decision, KUET authorities instructed students to leave the dormitories by 10.00 am on Wednesday. Academic activities have been suspended indefinitely.

কুয়েট কর্তৃপক্ষের নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী খুলনা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (কুয়েট) হল ছেড়েছেন কিছু সংখ্যক শিক্ষার্থী। বুধবার সকালে তারা হলত্যাগ করেন বলে জানা গেছে। তবে হলত্যাগের নির্দেশ প্রত্যাখ্যান করে হলে থাকার সিদ্ধান্তে অটল রয়েছেন অনেক শিক্ষার্থী। তারা উপাচার্যের পদত্যাগসহ ৬ দফা দাবি বাস্তবায়ন না হওয়া পর্যন্ত হলে থাকার ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন। অপরদিকে বুধবার সকাল ১০টার মধ্যে উপাচার্যকে তার বাসভবন খালি করার জন্য আল্টিমেটাম দেন শিক্ষার্থীরা। এমতাবস্থায় ক্যাম্পাসের দুই গেটে অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে। উল্লেখ্য, গত ১৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি সংঘর্ষের পর থেকে খুলনা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (কুয়েট) ভিসি, প্রো-ভিসির অপসারণসহ ৬ দফা দাবিতে আন্দোলন চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে শিক্ষার্থীরা। এ অবস্থার মধ্যে মঙ্গলবার (২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি) ভিসির বাসভবনে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ৯৯তম (জরুরি) সিন্ডিকেট সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভার সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী গত মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যায় কুয়েট কর্তৃপক্ষ শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে বুধবার সকাল ১০টার মধ্যে হল ত্যাগের নির্দেশ দেয়। এছাড়া একাডেমিক কার্যক্রম অনির্দিষ্টকালের জন্য বন্ধ ঘোষণা করা হয়।
