Some objections have been raised that undermines EC's independence: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that objections have been raised on anything that undermines the independence of the Election Commission.

A delegation of the European Union (EU) came to the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital on Tuesday (January 28) for a meeting with the commission. The Chief Election Commissioner told reporters after the meeting.

The CEC said that the European Union has assured all kinds of support for organizing elections in the democratic journey. All kinds of preparations will be made to make the next elections fair. We have raised objections on anything that undermines the independence of the EC. The EU is also committed to maintaining the independence of the Election Commission. The EU has given importance to reforms. The EU believes that the time for reforms is short.
