SSC candidate expelled for solving questions on mobile phone in toilet

A examinee has been expelled for solving questions on mobile phone in Bakshiganj, Jamalpur for going to the toilet and solving questions on mobile phone during the SSC examination.

The incident took place at the Bakshiganj Ulfatunnesa Government Girls High School center on Tuesday (April 28). The expelled student, Jisan Rahman, is a student of the local Nur Mohammad High School.

Center Secretary Biplob Kishore Chakraborty confirmed the matter. He said that the student was using his mobile phone to look at the solution to the questions in the toilet during the examination.

According to center sources, the authorities checked the CCTV footage as the student's behavior seemed suspicious. It confirmed that he had a mobile phone with him. Later, a search was conducted and the phone was recovered from him.

In this regard, Bakshiganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Murad Hossain said that he was expelled for using a mobile phone and misbehaving in the examination hall. He has also been taken into police custody to investigate the matter further.

He further said that the administration is taking a strict stand to prevent any kind of irregularities at the examination centers. No concessions will be made to ensure the examination is conducted in a fair and cheating-free environment.
