The results of the 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been published, revealing a significant drop in the pass rate compared to last year. This year, the average pass rate stands at 68.45 percent, down from 83.04 percent in 2024.
The results were officially released on Thursday by the country's nine general education boards—Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh—as well as the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
As in previous years, no formal ceremony was held for the announcement of the results. However, an official briefing was conducted at the Dhaka Education Board's conference room, where Professor Dr. Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of both the Dhaka Board and the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, addressed the media.
Professor Kabir stated that 68.45 percent of candidates passed the examinations this year. A total of 139,032 students achieved the highest grade, GPA-5.
